How to have a wonderful day
A wonderful day through a few seconds with big impact!
Would you like to do an little experiment with me to find out how you can influence the quality of your day? It will take less than a minute and you might benefit a lot.
Here we go.. Right now, connect with your current feelings. Just observe how you feel. Done?
Now put a smile on your face. A big smile. A very big smile. And say with an energized and happy voice: “Whooohooo…. this is going to be a wonderful day!”
Really do it. Don’t read on before you did it…
Check how you feel now. Do you notice any change in your energy? If you are like most people, you will feel that shift. Isn’t it amazing what a few words and a happy voice can do? If you want to take it a step further, you can even engage your whole body in it. Stretch your arms up and out for even more impact…
How this can change the energy of a whole day
We are not at the top of our energy all day, all the time. We often take our energy level for granted. Yet there is not much needed to raise it – as you just experienced. A great possibility to shift, right at our fingertips.
Wouldn’t it be great to start each day in high energy? Filled with the joy for the day to come? I know that may seem hard, especially when you have a lot on our plate, many responsibilities or feel pressure or stress. Many of us feel that immediately at waking up.
Yet there is this few-seconds-action that may make a lot of difference. Do it for a while and see whether it works for you. When you wake up in the morning, just do what you just did. Jump out of your bed and say “Whoohoo! This is going a to be a wonderful day!” Say it cheerfully and open your arms to embrace the day.
I dare you… :-)
Sounds too simple? I dare you. Just do it and see how much it shifts your energy in the morning. Oh, and btw do it wholeheartedly. Really stretch out and open up to the day.
There is something about how we start the day. Somehow it sends a message to ourselves about where we want our focus to be. And we are more alert to the wonderful and beautiful, so it seems, if we start with acknowledging that we choose to focus on it.
So experiment with it and let me know how it works out for you in the comments below or on the social media. I’m curious to hear whether you feel the difference.
Have a wonderful day and stay on the sunny side! Margot
PS You can add to this by doing a simple meditation. I have recorded two that you can find on this website:
